TENTANG ORANG MISKIN

DAN KURANG BERUNTUNG

40. Tidak menindas anak yatim atau janda (Keluaran 22:22) | Not to afflict an orphan or a widow.

Keluaran 22:22 Seseorang janda atau anak yatim janganlah kamu tindas. [Exodus 22:22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.]

41. Tidak memanen ladang sampai habis (Imamat 19:9; 23:22) | Not to reap the entire field.

Imamat 19:9 Pada waktu kamu menuai hasil tanahmu, janganlah kausabit ladangmu habis-habis sampai ke tepinya, dan janganlah kaupungut apa yang ketinggalan dari penuaianmu. [Leviticus 19:9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.]

42. Meninggalkan bulir-bulir gandum yang jatuh bagi orang miskin (Imamat 19:9; 23:22) | To leave the unreaped corner of the field or orchard for the poor.

43. Tidak mengumpulkan sisa tuaian, bulir gandum yang jatuh ke tanah waktu menuai (Imamat 19:9; 23:22) | Not to gather gleanings (the ears that have fallen to the ground while reaping).

Imamat 19:10 Juga sisa-sisa buah anggurmu janganlah kaupetik untuk kedua kalinya dan buah yang berjatuhan di kebun anggurmu janganlah kaupungut, tetapi semuanya itu harus kautinggalkan BAGI ORANG MISKIN DAN BAGI ORANG ASING; Akulah TUHAN, Allahmu. [Leviticus 19:10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.]

46. Meninggalkan "OL'LOT" (berkas tidak dipakai) dari kebun anggur buat orang miskin (Imamat 19:10; Ulangan 24:21) | To leave ol'loth (the imperfect clusters) of the vineyard for the poor.

Ulangan 24:21 (TB)  Apabila engkau mengumpulkan hasil kebun anggurmu, janganlah engkau mengadakan pemetikan sekali lagi; itulah BAGIAN ORANG ASING, ANAK YATIM DAN JANDA. [Deuteronomy 24:21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.]

47. Tidak mengumpulkan "FERET" (sisa buah-buah Anggur) yang jatuh ke tanah (Imamat 19:10) |Not to gather the peret (grapes) that have fallen to the ground.

48. Meninggalkan "FERET" (sisa buah-buah Anggur) di kebun bagi orang miskin (Imamat 19:10) | To leave peret (the single grapes) of the vineyard for the poor.

Imamat 19:10 Juga sisa-sisa buah anggurmu janganlah kaupetik untuk kedua kalinya dan buah yang berjatuhan di kebun anggurmu janganlah kaupungut, tetapi semuanya itu harus kautinggalkan BAGI ORANG MISKIN DAN BAGI ORANG ASING; Akulah TUHAN, Allahmu. [Leviticus 19:10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.]

49. Tidak berbalik kembali untuk memungut berkas tuaian yang terlupakan (Ulangan 24:19), ini berlaku untuk semua pohon buah-buahan (Ulangan 24:20) | Not to return to take a forgotten sheaf. This applies to all fruit trees.

Ulangan 24:19 Apabila engkau menuai di ladangmu, lalu terlupa seberkas di ladang, maka janganlah engkau kembali untuk mengambilnya; itulah BAGIAN ORANG ASING, ANAK YATIM DAN JANDA — supaya TUHAN, Allahmu, memberkati engkau dalam segala pekerjaanmu. 24:20 Apabila engkau memetik hasil pohon zaitunmu dengan memukul-mukulnya, janganlah engkau memeriksa dahan-dahannya sekali lagi; itulah bagian orang asing, anak yatim dan janda. [Deuteronomy 24:19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. 24:20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.]

50. Meninggalkan berkas tuaian yang terlupakan bagi orang miskin (Ulangan 24:19-20) | To leave the forgotten sheaves for the poor.

Ulangan 24:19 Apabila engkau menuai di ladangmu, lalu terlupa seberkas di ladang, maka janganlah engkau kembali untuk mengambilnya; itulah BAGIAN ORANG ASING, ANAK YATIM DAN JANDA — supaya TUHAN, Allahmu, memberkati engkau dalam segala pekerjaanmu. 24:20 Apabila engkau memetik hasil pohon zaitunmu dengan memukul-mukulnya, janganlah engkau memeriksa dahan-dahannya sekali lagi; itulah bagian orang asing, anak yatim dan janda. [Deuteronomy 24:19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. 24:20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.]

51. Tidak berdiam diri dari memelihara orang miskin dan memberikan kepadanya apa dibutuhkan (Ulangan 15:7-8) | Not to refrain from maintaining a poor man and giving him what he needs.

Ulangan 15:7 Jika sekiranya ada di antaramu seorang miskin, salah seorang saudaramu di dalam salah satu tempatmu, di negeri yang diberikan kepadamu oleh TUHAN, Allahmu, maka JANGANLAH ENGKAU MENEGARKAN HATI ATAUPUN MENGGENGGAM TANGAN TERHADAP SAUDARAMU YANG MISKIN ITU, 15:8 TETAPI ENGKAU HARUS MEMBUKA TANGAN LEBAR-LEBAR BAGINYA DAN MEMBERI PINJAMAN KEPADANYA DENGAN LIMPAHNYA, CUKUP UNTUK KEPERLUANNYA, SEBERAPA IA PERLUKAN. [Deuteronomy 15:7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: 15:8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.]

52. Memberikan sedekah menurut kebutuhan seseorang (Ulangan 15:11) | To give charity according to one's means.

Ulangan 15:11 Sebab orang-orang miskin tidak hentinya akan ada di dalam negeri itu; itulah sebabnya aku memberi perintah kepadamu, demikian: HARUSLAH ENGKAU MEMBUKA TANGAN LEBAR-LEBAR BAGI SAUDARAMU, YANG TERTINDAS DAN YANG MISKIN di negerimu."  [Deuteronomy 15:11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.] ***
