613 MITSVOT

PASAL I

TENTANG ALLAH

Butir 1-10

1. Mengakui bahwa Allah itu ada (Keluaran 20:2) | To know the God exists.

Keluaran 20:2 "Akulah TUHAN, Allahmu, yang membawa engkau keluar dari tanah Mesir, dari tempat perbudakan." [Exodus 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.]

2. Tidak mengumbar pemikiran bahwa ada allah lain selain Allah yang Kekal (Keluaran 20:3) | Not to entertain the idea that there is any god but the Eternal.

Keluaran 20:3 Jangan ada padamu allah lain di hadapan-Ku. [Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.]

3. Tidak menghujat Allah (Keluaran 22:28a) | Not to blaspheme God. The penalty for which is death (Leviticus 24:16)

Keluaran 22:28a "Janganlah engkau mengutuki Allah." [Exodus 22:28a Thou shalt not revile the gods.]

Imamat 24:16 Siapa yang menghujat nama TUHAN, pastilah ia dihukum mati dan dilontari dengan batu oleh seluruh jemaah itu. Baik orang asing maupun orang Israel asli, bila ia menghujat nama TUHAN, haruslah dihukum mati.  [Leviticus 24:16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.]

4. Menguduskan Nama Allah (Imamat 22:32) | To hallow God's name.

Imamat 22:32 Janganlah melanggar kekudusan nama-Ku yang kudus, supaya Aku dikuduskan di tengah-tengah orang Israel, sebab Akulah TUHAN, yang menguduskan kamu, [Leviticus 22:32  Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,]

5. Tidak menajiskan Nama Allah (Imamat 22:32) | Not to profane God's name.

Imamat 22:32 Janganlah melanggar kekudusan nama-Ku yang kudus, supaya Aku dikuduskan di tengah-tengah orang Israel, sebab Akulah TUHAN, yang menguduskan kamu, [Leviticus 22:32  Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,]

6. Mengakui bahwa Allah itu Esa, Kesatuan yang sempurna (Ulangan 6:4) | To know that God is One, a complete Unity.

Ulangan 6:4 Dengarlah, hai orang Israel: TUHAN itu Allah kita, TUHAN itu esa! [Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:]

7. Mengasihi Allah (Ulangan 6:5) | To love God.

Ulangan 6:5 Kasihilah TUHAN, Allahmu, dengan segenap hatimu dan dengan segenap jiwamu dan dengan segenap kekuatanmu.  [Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.]

8. Takut akan Allah dengan rasa hormat (Ulangan 6:13; 10:20) | To fear God reverently.

Ulangan 6:13 Engkau harus takut akan TUHAN, Allahmu; kepada Dia haruslah engkau beribadah dan demi nama-Nya haruslah engkau bersumpah.  [Deuteronomy 6:13 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.]

9. Tidak mencobai Allah (Ulangan 6:16) | Not to put the word of God to the test.

Ulangan 6:16 Janganlah kamu mencobai TUHAN, Allahmu, seperti kamu mencobai Dia di Masa. [Deuteronomy 6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.]

10. Menuruti jalan-jalan-Nya yang baik dan benar (Ulangan 28:9) | To imitate His good and upright ways.

Ulangan 28:9 TUHAN akan menetapkan engkau sebagai umat-Nya yang kudus, seperti yang dijanjikan-Nya dengan sumpah kepadamu, jika engkau berpegang pada perintah TUHAN, Allahmu, dan hidup menurut jalan yang ditunjukkan-Nya. [Deuteronomy 28:9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.] ***
